Best Western Monticello Hotel, Monticello

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience, with spacious rooms equipped with handy amenities like a fridge and microwave, but the overall setup felt very basic. The accessibility features were appreciated, but the rooms lacked a cozy touch.

The hotel's rooms seemed clean enough, though the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. The benefit of having a sink outside the commode area is diminished by having it just at the foot of the bed, making it challenging to use without disturbing others. The hotel was ridiculously expensive and lacked sufficient seating.

My stay at the hotel had some ups and downs. The rooms had some different features that caught my attention, but they overlooked the dumpsters with piles of discarded carpeting next to them, and there was a lingering smell of smoke when we walked in. On top of that, there was a leak from the jacuzzi. However, the service was accommodating in every manner, and the staff were friendly and helpful. As for the location, it was a mixed bag - run-down yet scenic. Also, the indoor swimming pool was a small but relaxing facility. The dining options included several choices, but the timing was not ideal for a vacation schedule. Overall, it was a decent place to stay, but there were some noticeable drawbacks.
